Originating from Wales in the UK, Mark`s journey epitomises the level of the human spirit and ethos of the Paralympic movement. Despite a life-altering accident in May 2009, Mark`s tenacity is unmatched to never give up.
In February 2012, he dominated the 3 KM para-cycling track world championship in LA to become a world champion. Mark`s legacy however was just getting started after he received the famous rainbow jersey. He proudly then competed in the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, where he smashed the 3km para track world record by seven seconds, and then broke it again in the final just four hours later to win a Gold medal.
Mark was honoured by King Charles III with an MBE in May 2013 for his services to sport and his country. Mark now inspires others as a public speaker and as a cycling coach in Dubai. A living legend, both on and off the track.
Welcome aboard, Mark!
